Influence of Sociodemographic Factors and Behavioral Habits on Periodontal Disease Status

Abstract Aim The aim of this study is to asses the influence sociodemographic factors and behavioral habits on periodontal disease status population in a selected region. Methodology Data were collected using self-structured questionnaire clinical examination. Various variables such as gender, age, socioeconomic habits, tobacco usage oral hygiene practices, factored into questionnaire. Factors determining education, work profile, salary. data analyzed Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS 21, IBM Corp, 2015 Virginia, United States). Results total prevalence was 94.6%, out which 90% had gingivitis 4.6% periodontitis. Only 5.4% healthy. In present study, status, gender found have positive correlation with status. Conclusion Since treatment not simple expensive, it needs early intervention its prevention.
